The Razz caught up with the band's drummer, Paul Thomson, and guitar player, Nick McCarthy, at Suffolk's Latitude festival, and the dozy pair revealed they often struggle to memorise their own lyrics.
Paul said: "It can be a problem having to remember the lyrics.
"We often end up forgetting the order of them when we are playing, which can be a little embarrassing."
The musician then went on praise Franz frontman Alex Kapranos, who sings the vocals as well as playing guitar.
Paul said: "I can't imagine what it would be like to try and remember the words to the songs, sing them, and play an instrument at the same time.
"As a drummer all four of my limbs are having to do different things at the same time - that's more than enough for me to contend with."
Rhythm guitarist Nick also revealed it was tough to memorise the band's many songs. He sings backing vocals and plays the keyboard, but finds it hard to master the art of singing and playing an instrument simultaneously.
He said. "All I have to do is sing my own words. I know a few of the lyrics, but it must be a bit like spinning plates." |
